AIA South Louisiana is the local chapter that serves architects and the public in the Acadiana region of Louisiana. The chapter has a current membership of over 85, including affiliate and associate members. AIA Members must be registered architects, Associate AIA Members are degreed interns working toward registration, and affiliate members are professionals in related fields.

Our mission is to promote and forward the objectives of AIA, which include:

Organize and unite in fellowship the members of the architectural profession
Promote the aesthetic, scientific and practical efficiency of the profession
Advance the science and art of planning and building by forwarding the standards of architectural education, training and practice
Coordinate the building industry and the profession of architecture to insure the advancement of the living standards of people through their improved environment
Make the profession of ever-increasing service to society by educating the public of the importance of good design and its contribution to the quality of life
